Whats up with Netflix's delivery queues?
Saturday, November 15, 2008
I've been a customer of Netflix since 2002. In all that time, the most I've ever had to wait for a movie in my queue is "short wait" which usually equated to one cycle (receive and return) of movie viewing. More often though movies have been immediately available, even the new releases.Recently though all of the shows I want to watch are marked "very long wait." I realize that these new releases are popular (Kung Fu Panda and Hellboy II) but that's never been an issue in the past. So what's changed?

Top of the queue - AN UPDATE
Tuesday, April 24, 2007
My buddy Groovehouse pointed out tonight what people are saying about the WKRP DVD's over on Amazon. Turns out, a lot of the music in the scenes has either been replaced or the scenes themselves have been edited out. So, I've officially removed the set from my Netflix queue. Oh well, I guess they were right after all.

Top of the queue, baby!
Monday, April 23, 2007
They said it would never happen... that the music licensing fees were too expensive. They were wrong. Today I saw in my Netflix "new releases" RSS feed the complete first season of WKRP in Cincinnati. It's out and available today!
