Site Network: Personal | Family Site | Podcast Ready |

Hey. My name is Russell Holliman. I'm a professional project manager by day, and one of the founders of Podcast Ready by night. This is my blog about life on the web, life in general, and random things I find here and there.

Images from Outer Space

If you or your kids are fans of images from space, you have to check out Microsoft's latest project: World Wide Telescope. Its a great program which lets you access a huge amount of images from a large number of NASA telescopes, satellites, and other image collection gear.

The neat part it, it zips you around the galaxy showing you where the objects are in the night sky. Its sort of like Google Earth, but not. Here's one of the promotion videos from the site which I'm sure explains it a lot better. Be warned though, as cool as the application is, the video production is classic (as in "boring") Microsoft.

I Just Got My Popfly Invite

I just recevied my invitation to Microsoft's new mash-up site: Popfly. (btw, when did .ms become a valid domain ending?) At first glance its not that impressive, but then again I've barely made it passed the 'create your web page' page (which is very easy). I'm taking it one step at a time, and the 'mashup' appears to be step to, so stay tuned.

Steve and Bill Talking Dirty

Geeks are Sexy points out a funny YouTube clip of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates making each other hot by talking about computers. The funny thing is, when its Bill's turn to talk (about Vista) its really not that exciting.
