Podshow Announces Opening Lineup
Saturday, April 30, 2005
Just listening to the "Strategycast" from Adam and Ron and they announced their beginning lineup for Podshow:
- Dawn and Drew
- Rock N' Roll Geek
- Yeast 2
- Madge Weinstein
- The Skinny on Sports
- The Gilmore Gang
- Accident Hash Podcast
- Daily Download
And a note about Podcastalley: apparently it's going to somehow be affiliated with the Podshow "family" (notice the 'paid' ad for Hilton's new podcast on his front page).
... more to come (it's a 2 hour podcast).

Clyde...
Tuesday, April 26, 2005

So I mentioned in passing to Clyde today about the journalist that is coming over to "experience" a podcast. He really did not have much to say... he just winked.

The Plot Thickens
Monday, April 25, 2005
I mentioned in last week’s podcast that I was to be visited by a “Pop Culture Writer” for the Houston Chronicle. This week we’ve been trying to get our schedule’s straight. I mentioned that I usually finish my podcasts around 1am, after consuming much bourbon, but that I would meet with her in the afternoon as I assumed it would better suit her schedule…and sensibilities.
Wrong.
She wants to witness and feel the “entire podcast experience” and therefore will be here sometime Wednesday night to witness the horror that is the TPC production process…. I don’t know if she is wanting to participate in the show, but after 5 or 6 cocktails I’ll bet I can convince her… details to follow.

04/22 "Short and Sweet" TPC
Friday, April 22, 2005
Very short TPC today… items discussed include:
- Jimmy Jett’s eye
- Why I can’t talk about the Houston Chronicle today
- Best Buy clerks – I was never that stupid
- Guns in the News – why I shot a grill
- Some Treo tidbits including a great and free media player for video, Treocentral’s rave review of Palm’s crappy keyboard, and porn on your Treo…

Time to call an exterminator
Tuesday, April 19, 2005

Out back behind the house doing the yearly check on the A/C system, and discovered that we've got mice! I can only assume that this was left behind by my 2-year-old son at some point...

Flamingo
Monday, April 18, 2005
For those 20 or so of you that received a file called 'flamingo' through the enlcosure-only feed, I apologize. That was a test recording that I made for an acquaintance of mine and which I placed in the wrong folder.
On the other hand, if you were interested in what you were listening to, I expect to receive a test unit of the Flamingo headset here in the next day or to for testing...

Yahoo 360... want to give it a try?
Friday, April 15, 2005
As you may have heard, Yahoo 360 – Yahoo’s entry into the blogging arena – is currently in beta…

And like GMail (which, by the way, I still have invites available on the right side of the screen) it is by invitation only. I have been playing with it for two days now, and I have 100 invitations to give away….

So if you would like to give it a try, just let me know.

Custom iPodder
I guess now we know how ‘House of Wax’ got their custom iPodder client…. for a mere $50 you too can make one of your own. You can even pre-load it with the podcasts of your choice before you distribute it to whomever.

Paris Hilton Podcast
Sunday, April 03, 2005

As part of the build-up to her new movie, Paris Hilton has begun podcasting. But not just podcasting, oh no. According to the web site: “Join Paris and friends as she shops, parties, poses and publicizes in the days leading up to the May 6 opening of House of Wax. “
But wait, there’s more. Not only does she have an RSS feed, but she also has a custom Podcatching program for both Windows and Mac.

Slacker Astronomy is no more
Friday, April 01, 2005
Slacker Astronomy posted their final show today. This has been one of my favorites and I can't believe that they are actually shutting down. But their last episode packs quite an entertaining BANG.
UPDATE: 07:54 AM - so I went to the blog to proof the entry and realized the date... it's a great episode nonetheless.
