Hey. My name is Russell Holliman. I'm a professional project manager by day, and one of the founders of Podcast Ready by night. This is my blog about life on the web, life in general, and random things I find here and there.

How to Get Podcasts

According to Time:

1 - GET FREE SOFTWARE Installing iTunes from iTunes.com enables you to hear podcasts on a PC or Mac.

2 - DOWNLOAD SHOWS Use the iTunes music store or podcasts.yahoo.com to find programs of interest like the ones listed here.

3 - GET AN MP3 PLAYER Decent portable devices start at $50; iPods are pricier. Buy one, load it up with shows and listen on the go.

....and when they hook up that Creative Zen to the itunes music store - magic will occur before their very eyes.

Thanks. I thought I was the only one that saw the issue there. And I wonder why podcasting is so hard to take 'mainstream'.

I have tried to get a few friends (over 40) interested. They seem into it at first but never wanted to deal with the downloading.
Now I just send them links to shows that they might be interested in with a link to pocastready.com
One friend actually said, he didn't want to get an Ipod.
Once I told him you didn't need an Ipod he seemed a little more interested.
