Hey. My name is Russell Holliman. I'm a professional project manager by day, and one of the founders of Podcast Ready by night. This is my blog about life on the web, life in general, and random things I find here and there.

Rita, Rita, Bo-Bita

So it seems that Rita has come gunning for Houston. Well that's just great. Here's the thing, I know every time there is a natural disaster, there is always some schmuck on television that refuses to leave. Well, stay tuned... 'cause I'm staying.

The wife and kids all already gone - headed for the ranch to wait for the storm to blow threw. But I'll be hanging out. I'm in the Heights, which is relatively safe from the flooding. The main concern I anticipate will be the wind damage and the lack of power.

So I thought to my self, as long as I am here, why not blog, flickr, and of course podcast the event. So as I said before, stay tuned.

The feeds have already been redirected to an alternate server site out of state. You should not have to do anything provided that you are subscribed to the links listed on the right.

If you have subscriptions that point directly to a server other than www.mobilepodcast.org and you wish to continue to receive my feeds during this storm, please change them now to the appropriate address listed.

If you are interested in getting any podcasts that I might be able to get out, then you should verify that your podcatcher is subscribed to either the podcast feed, the iTunes feed, the Odeo feed, or the Podnova feed. Unlike the blog feed, these are automated feeds that require nothing more than the uploading of a file - and I cannot promise that I will be able to upload a file and make a blog posting to go with it.

We do not have a generator installed here, but there is plenty of battery power to last for days provided it's rationed properly. And with cable, DSL, Sat. uplink, PCS, and dial-up, there is a chance that I might actually be able to get stuff posted.

Also, too, I should mention that in the interest of saving power and time I will probably be doing blog posting via email thanks to go.blogger.com. I only mention this because for one thing the formatting my be off, and also I won't be able to add links to the forums for comments. So please if you'd like to comment, jump on over to the Hurricane Rita ssection in the forums and start or add to a thread.
