I'd have to say that I agree with you on Wal-Mart. They move into small towns and try to suck up people from the surrounding area too. I know in the past 10 years they've put in 3 Wal-Marts within 30 miles of me.
I also hate how they push their suppliers around. If you're a company that sells jelly (no idea why I chose that), you want Wal-Mart to sell your product. You know Wal-Mart reaches millions of people, so you do anything they want. Wal-Mart wants you to RFID everything, you spend the money to do so. If Wal-Mart wants to squeeze $.4 off your price or they'll find a new supplier, you give in.
As for them helping the community, if you do Google searches you'll actually notice how horrible Wal-Mart is to their employees. It's no secret that Wal-Mart is uber-rich, but they definitely don't pass their earnings on to their employees. I remember reading stats that showed how Wal-Mart employees are paid almost minimum wage. That's why I always go to the Target right down the street - they treat their employees better.
It's only a matter of time before Wal-Mart gets knocked off....I think it's for the best.
