Hey. My name is Russell Holliman. I'm a professional project manager by day, and one of the founders of Podcast Ready by night. This is my blog about life on the web, life in general, and random things I find here and there.

Cranky Treo Podcast

Sorry for the mood today… I hope you understand. Here are some of the highlights and links from today's episode:

The cool moon eclipse from last night...

Hattip to Harold J. Johnson at SomethingthatHappened.com

Check out this Old Time Radio internet radio station
And this website on OTR

From the news:
Ellen Simonetti and her Delta blog fiasco

The parrot that saved the day, and the Hobbits

And for the Treo 600 users out there be sure to check out Brightcam

Also, a note that there is a new DivX file added to the DivX feed: Bush giving the camera "the bird." Formatted for playback on the Treo 600 but compatible with any DivX player. And one note for those Treo users who are using MMPLAYER for video… add http://www.infostructuresolutions.com/~treocast/casts/bushfinger.avi to your play list and you can stream this video right to your phone!

Hey Russell -
I like your TreoCast. I wish that I could have seen that lunar eclipse. Cloud cover messed up my viewing here in South Carolina.
I hope you mood improves as the day moves along. Just looking at Ellen improved my mood.
Thanks,

Love the Treo podcasts! Did I miss the one where you were going to describe the tools you use to create the podcasts? (Like which Sound Recorder you use?)

One more question if you don't mind: Do you know of any way to create a *completely* mobile podcast (including posting the recording?

Most of the Treo recording software I've seen writes *.WAV files... and yet those files are a little to big to upload. Any way to convert them to MP3 on the Treo itself?

Thanks!
